The Challenge: Rules and Limits
Profit targets, loss limits, the best-day rule, and exactly what you can and cannot do during the challenge.
- What is the difference between the 2-Step and 1-Step challenge?2-Step has two phases (8% then 5% target), 4% daily and 10% static total loss; 1-Step has one phase (10% target), 3% daily and 6% static total loss; everything else is identical.
- How much time do I have to complete the challenge?Unlimited; there is no time limit in any phase, but staying inactive for more than 30 days closes the account.
- What does "a minimum of 5 profitable days" mean?In each phase you need at least 5 days with a positive closed profit, and they do not have to be consecutive.
- How is the daily loss calculated?A fixed dollar amount set at account creation, deducted from the higher of balance or equity at the 23:00 CE(S)T rollover and evaluated continuously on equity.
- How is the maximum total loss calculated?Statically from the initial balance; on a 100k 2-Step account equity must never drop below 90,000 USD, and the threshold never moves.
- What is the best-day rule?Your best day must not exceed 40% of your total profit; in the challenge it only raises your target, on a funded account it gates payouts, and it never closes an account.
- Do I have to use a stop-loss?No, a stop-loss is not mandatory in any phase.
- Can I trade during news?Yes, with no restrictions in the challenge or on the funded account; pending orders get realistic slippage during news and fill at market price.
- Can I hold positions overnight and over the weekend?Yes, at no extra charge and with no restrictions; just factor in swap, which counts toward both the daily and total loss.
- Can I hedge?Yes within your own account; hedging across accounts is prohibited, whether your own or other people's, with us or with other prop firms.
- Are EAs, bots or automation allowed? No; EAs, bots, API scripts and webhooks are prohibited, while manual trading from desktop and mobile has no restrictions.
- What happens if I breach the daily or total limit? The account is closed as a hard breach; you can buy a new challenge at full price, and you get a written decision within 5 business days with 14 days to appeal.
- Can I have multiple accounts?Buy as many challenges as you want; your concurrent funded capital is capped at 400,000 USD.
